Our diabetes support group is for anyone with diabetes or a caregiver who wants to understand the special needs of diabetics.

Childbirth: The Journey Begins
This is a free childbirth class for new parents. Classes are taught by Duncan Regional Birth Center Nurses. Dress comfortably. Bring a support person to class with you. You may also bring snacks and drinks to class with you.
Topics include: Roles of the Coach, Nutrition & Exercise, Stages of Labor, Breathing & Relaxation, Pain Control, Newborn Care, Timing Contractions, Postpartum Care, Breast Feeding.

Alzheimer’s Education Event
Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior, an education program by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

Newly Bereaved Grief Support Group
Are you grieving the loss of a partner, family member, or friend? This program is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential setting facilitated by hospice bereavement volunteer, Susan Gassaway, RN.

Dementia Support Group
Dementia support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:
- Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions
- Talk through issues and ways of coping
- Share feelings, needs and concerns
- Learn about community resources
Time: Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

HealthCare Provider CPR
For Licensed Personnel – Pre-Registration is required, and class size is limited to 24.
CPR total cost:

A support group for anyone living with the challenges of MS. This event is free and open to the public.
