Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) is designed for individuals looking to discontinue the use of opioids, including both heroin and prescription painkillers such as Norco, Oxycodone, Fentanyl. We prescribe buprenorphine/naloxone, also known as Suboxone, combined with group therapy and case management to assist you in reaching your goals.

Suboxone blocks the symptoms of withdrawal, reducing cravings for opioids, and preventing any additional opioids taken from having an impact.

Freedom from these allows you the space to work on other factors impacting use, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or social stressors.

This treatment is convenient – medication is taken once per day, and clinic visits can be as infrequent as once per month. MAT has been shown to reduce the risk of relapse significantly, compared to traditional treatment programs without medication.
